How can I find out which projects are currently available for bidding?
Visit the Purchasing Home Page to view available open bids and RFQ's or call our Purchasing Department for current information at (732) 269-4500. You may Fax our office (732) 269-8440 to request a copy of any bid / proposal listed or email us at purchasingdept@ocua.com.

How do I add my firm to the Ocean County Utilities Authority (OCUA) bidder's list?
Download our Vendor Bid List Application form or call to request one be mailed to you. Fill out the form and return it by fax or mail to our Purchasing Department.

How can I set up an office visit?
Suppliers are encouraged to visit the Purchasing Department bringing documentation for the specific goods and services they provide. Appointments are required to ensure that full consideration is provided.

What is a Pre-Bid / Request for Proposal (RFP) Conference?
The Pre-Bid / RFP conference is a meeting held to discuss the specific bid or RFP document. This meeting gives you the opportunity to ask questions and to request clarifications in the documents. Pre-bid / RFP conferences are sometimes held for formal bids or RFP's solicited by the Ocean County Utilities Authority. The pre-bid / RFP conferences are not mandatory, but suppliers are urged to attend.

What criteria are used to award Bids and Requests for Proposals?
The criteria used to award may be specific to a solicitation and will be defined within the specifications, however, in general the following applies:

Bids for goods and non-professional services are normally awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder(s).

RFP award recommendations are based on other criteria in addition to price. The procurement document will specify the method of award.
